For those who haven't seen the WO today, it says that Helguson is likely to move to us IF a move to West Ham falls through. It says that Boothroyd is willing to pay the £15,000 wages and the £2 million asking price. West Ham today however were linked with a double swoop for Cisse and Bellamy...
No mistake guys. Quoted from WO: "However Boothroyd faces stiff competition from an unnamed Premiership club, believed to be West Ham . Helguson is understandably keen to remain in the Premiership and is thought to be holding out for a move to Upton Park after becoming aware of their interest."
West Brom deal is dead. West ham have shown an interest in HH, but no bid. Dirty Sanchez has said HH can go. Don't be surprised if HH costs us nothing and we get some cash as well
2 mill is at least 1 mill too much, if he is willing to pay that, I would rather he bought someone with a few more years left in them. AB says he also wants another winger why - keep 1 of macca/cavali to cover bouazza/smith/mcanuff, we also have campana coming through - winger not needed, don't waste the money! Get a decent centre mid to give mahon some real competition, hendrie/jensen and get another lb, get parkes out on loan and get him back when needed. Its that simple!
Please get HH back !! (I've finally worked out exactly who I want us to sign) Quinton Fortune Heidar Helguson Christian Benitez That is my final answer
Like I said this is my final answer Fortune is better than Camara but I forgot that Fortune was released so would be free.
Boothroyd says he wants 2 more players.. 1. A striker that can excite the fans 2. And a winger that can provide competition for Macnuff, Tommo and Hammer. So lets not speculate anymore on if we are going to sign centre backs, centre midfielders or left backs!!!
Hows that good news about bellamy - thats another 1 we missed out on! Do u honestly think the hammers wanted helguson!
You are not seriously suggesting we had any chance of signing Bellamy??? He's Champions Laeague quality not Championship -even if he is a ***! There was more chance of Aidy falling pregnant with Mahons baby than us signing Bellamy.
Doesn't that basically mean, according to the WO, that our signing of Helguson should now merely be a formality?
Think it is, I mean where else is he going to go, only to maybe one of the promoted squads and none of them are London based, god I do hope thats not the case next year! Think Fulham are taking the pi$s though if they want 2 mill especailly when they bid 2.5 for jason roberts recently, looks like the old paddy thinks he can do every one up like a kipper!
15 grand a week is too much to be playing to one player. I think we should get the price down to what we sold him for also

oh I thought we where in for Bellamy, was 100% sure he was coming, oh well and it looks like we have missed out on Cisse as well! As if west ham where ever interested in Helguson! There's only 1 place left for him now And thats Home!
He's coming home He's coming home He's coming home He's coming home He's coming home He's coming home - Helga's coming Home
Aidy's letter said that the signing would be one that would excite the fans. H would certain do that!
Of course its possible, he will be 4th choice at Fulham, and his careers in it's twilight years, want's to stay local, who would have him thats local, we would. He will be back, its him and king up top next year - without a doubt! But not at 2 mill - Fulham are having a laugh!
hes coming up to 30 years old, which means he still has quite a few years left in him...so i would definately want him back for what we recieved for him, but not much more.
Of all the strikers we've been linked with HH is the one I want most, he can come in and do the business straight away for us. We don't need any more of these younger strikers with potential or proven goal scoring records in League 1/2 or whatever becuase we have enough of them.
