Think of the worse possible scenario Mahon is in the team tomorrow! And he plays his usual float/point finger/blame someone else/deny the ball/miss kick ball/hoof/etc game - should we voice are thoughts?

NO we should not, that is the stupidest sh*t i have ever heard, no matter how well mahon plays tomorrow, rest assured there will be a post on here how bad he was, as people will be waiting for one mistake and wil jump at the chance to get on his back when he makes it. If someone else makes the same mistake, won't get a mention.Alot of the time Mahon is pointing is not blaming he directing and leading which is his role as captain. As for the hoof comment there are plent of our players who do it more often than him and infact he does play some of the nicer passes we have, so everyone get off his back for a game FFS, overall this season he's still been one of our better players, hasnt looked as good since his little injury spell but still has been far from our worse player, it was stewart mostly last year, now its mahons turn , get off his f**** back!

That is quite possibly the best post i've seen on here for quite some time, i couldn't have put it better myself.

Obviously Bangura's punting it up to the sky is a far better option

What like he was apparently going to die against alot of top midfielders this season but proved the majority wrong by being one of our best players this season (baring the past couple of matches) ??

I'd truely love it and watch northofwatford, c_j et al fail to post after the match.

Im not being funny but Mahon shouldnt play tomorrow. His last two games have been awful. and i have NEVER disliked Mahon but i even found myself effing and blinding on wednesday night. Nobody usually gets that from me unless their name is Tommy Smith.

He was awful and its easy to say that everyone gets on his back but you have to admit that he has been terrible for the last two matches, using that excuse cant cover that up

and im not saying at all that he is our worst player etc, but when it gets to the point that in two consecutive matches that he has been terrible.. something has to be done. (and yes dont worry im prepared for the Hendo comments on this matter, throw them my way..)

So we're dropping everyone based on the ipswhich and wigan performances, that'll be 8/9 players dropped, mahon was not the worst on either occasion, just it was a good oppertunity to have a dig at him, i like hendo:)

    Agreed.

Lee was far worse vs Ipshit and Kabba was just about worse than Gav vs Wigan.

Well i disagree, i do think he was the worst on both occassions but i never denied the fact that the others were awful too :p. At the end of the day he's supposed to be the captian, if he isnt performing well its gonna affect the squad

Every Player Has A off-day, but mahon has not performed in the last 2 games, one being a championship club!!

Alot of other players have not been up to standards but mahons went to be the captain!

IF Mahon is in the team I do hope that he does play well and yes I will post my thoughts even if I have to highlight his efforts.

Hahahahahahaha!! I think you might want to take that back, Mahon can play well in some games but recently he looks as if he's given up.

right then. i completely agree that fans shouldnt get on the players back if they r on the pitch. but lets be honest.. mahon has been pretty awful this season and hes got worse over the last couple of games.

    He wasn't bad for a one-man midfield.

Did Francis touch the ball all game ?

I like(d) Francis, but his last few games have been dire. Mahon has at least kept trying. Play Cavalli in place of Francis and see how Mahon copes then. Maybe it will work... maybe not, but what have we got to lose ?

    yes. he is bad.

true. but at least francis gets forward and scores goals (isnt he our top goal scorer this season?). tho it would be intresting to see how cavalli does in the middle

Yep, weve gotta trust Aidy though I have a feeling even his patience is now wearing thin.

Mahon was good last season and the previous couple of seasons before that when we were in a dire position and staring administration in the face..if my memory serves me correctly he was in the team when they agreed to take a 12.5% wage cut about 3/4 years ago!

Just for those reasons alone we should not boo him...seems some people have very short memories...

so you are saying that we should never drop mahon however bad he plays because he took a pay cut? It was either that or he didnt have a job!

If Gav plays, which i sincerely hope he doesn't, i will never boo him. His form has gone to sh!t but he will still give 100% unlike the lazy millionnaire alongside him.

whoever pulls on the shirt for watford gets 100% backing from me. they may get barracking when they c*ck up or don't seem to be trying but next time they get the ball they get backing. thats the way it is.
