It has to be said that a few of us have been playing away whilst wfcforums has been, er, resting. I'm not proud of it. But its over now. How was it for you at GH? I thought the general vibe was good, as was the site, but I had wondered where some of the densest 'scarfer' baiting, m*&g calling, eejits from the fishal site had gone and there they were. Here's to good moderation in moderation.
Moderation is indeed the key. some good well informed threads but most descend into name calling and playground obscenities very quickly. good to be back.
I set up a post on this earlier, a bit of merging is needed here I think! For what's it's worth I didn't think Glory Horns was half as good as this site.
It was Danny Shittu, I visited twice, and gave up Not user friendly, took ages to register as they didn't say what a spambot registration was, and everything was so small I thought I had aged 50 years! And as someone mentioned earlier, you could see where the arses from the fiscal boards went. Did anyone make sure Kernnous knew we were here?
GH is a bit of an odd site. Very cliquey (ie. they all know each other, share in jokes and generally have odd rules of banter) and rather dull. As said above most decent debates fizzle out about half way through due to some doofus deciding to insult someone else. The one reasonable debate ended up just being me and one other guy, which is incredibly dull. Ah well. I'll still stick my head round the door over there every now and again but thank god I'm home.
I havent seen that site... cant really be bothered to either! I really enjoy the debates we have on here.... one thing ive got to ask, is jobr due back or has he gone for good??
I really didn't care for it. All that shoddy language and bad spelling, coupled with a paranoid hatred of newcomers. Much prefer this site and appreciate it, and its regular posters much more now.
The structure and overall debate is far better here than GH. Having said that, once they had dragged me down to their schoolboy level (after about 30secs), I quite enjoyed my time. There was a definite us v them at the beginning and alot of childish use of the C word but it was all done in the 'worst possible taste'. After 3 days I was almost an intitutionalised GH until Admin rescued me.
i registered with gloryhorns and here when the fiscal boards shut. my post count was 2 there. nothing compared to these boards.
