I think if he turns down algeria and continues to progress at his current rate then he could move on to bigger and better things and most likely with a bigger club, thus resulting in more of a chance to play for france. Unlikely though.
I watched the last 2 African Cup of Nations and i dont think Algeria were into i dont think they are very. There is no way bouazza will ever play for france.
well if they are not very good then they will not get into the group stages, and then will we not miss him.
I never get tired of "MC Hameur". I wonder if Jay will finally get a cap under Bradley soon...Il Bruce didn't seem to care much for him, and I haven't figured out how Bradley thinks. Bradley is putting together his roster for US v Mex on Feb 7, but Jay is a long shot. It is unlikely that his first game as a Nat would be against Mexico though...that's a cauldron a bit too hot for a new add. Maybe Ecuador in March though. Is that a FIFA release date?

Sure enough, there is more and more scrutiny of DeMerit this week as a result of his goal. There are a lot of assumptions tossed around: -The defence is crap. -So deMerit must suck. I point out that Watford have let in as many or fewer goals than 5-6 other clubs farther up the table and therefore the problem is offence. Not that it makes me any happier, but at least it's the truth.
I do hope those aren't assumptions made by key coaching officials in the US setup, otherwise your national team will be screwed!
Who knows what the new management thinks. I am not impressed by the US Men's defence in the win over Denmark Saturday. It was a B team from Denmark and they controlled the pace through the first half. There were good adjustments made in the second and we won 3-1 but for the first 1/3 of the game it was all Denmark and 1-0 to them... We have a HUGE game vs Mexico in two weeks, so I'm not feeling very comfy over it as a result. It's a Derby really!
Just got back from the US v Mex friendly...2-nil USA behind a packed house of 62,000 fans, 90 percent of which were wearing Mexico kit. There is NOTHING like defeating your biggest rival outnumbered 61-1 by hostile fans. Absolutely exhilirating!!! We keep beating them 2-0 so We coined a new nickname for Mex futbol: Los Dosaceros ('the two-to-zeroes') Mexico played very well with their best players and lost despite getting 9 shots on goal, while the US played with mostly MLS players (plus Deuce Dempsey, Tim Howard, and Carlos Bocanegra) got two shots and sealed them both. Timmy was great, Deuce was shutdown by effective midfield play, and Boca was not quite up to par, but had good support to help out. Jay will at least need to be able to displace Bocanegra in order to win a callup, which I'd REALLY like to see. Sadly, I don't get the chance to many Prem games on US TV... Can anyone compare Boca and DeMerit's play?
i heard about the games build up on the radio. mexico really do like their football by the sounds of it.
They DON'T like to lose to the US, and they haven't won lately at all...I think we are 7-0-1 vs Mex. The little pussies walked off the field without shaking hands or acknowledging the US team in any way. Just after the last goal, Sanchez the keeper came out and slide tackled into the forward that didn't score missing by a foot. Very sore losers.
they mentioned the actual hatred between the teams aswell. said there was a professional respect, but a deep seeded hatred between the two sides none the less. Also mentioned an american supporters group called sam's army? sounds a little amatuer, but then again, 'soccer' is still in its infancy there.
Uncle Sam's Army (U.S.A., get it? Har har.) sucks. They mean well, but they are the kind of dorks who dress up in red white & blue top hats with red white and blue star spangled overalls. There is no supporter's culture here, and they are trying anything to get it going. East Coast, where the cities are closer together an New York City fans can quickly drive to Boston for a game, have a better Sam's Army experience, but in the West, it's limp. It's a 7 1/2 hour drive to Phoenix from LA, so only about 40 or so from So Cal went. Poorly organized, poorly developed, but the guys love the team so I give them some credit. You are right though, support for the game is just getting rolling. Gotta start somewhere. My friends and I sat with them on the safety in numbers theory, but as it turned out, the "sold out" Sam's Army section, 14 rows, had three or four rows of Mexico jersey wearing supporters. Most of the Mexican't fans were fairly well behaved, save a rain of beer cups at a corner kick just before the second goal. All I could think of was that these hard working Mexican illegals had just wasted $7 a cup of America's finest lager...I tallied $42 worth until it just pissed me off so I stopped counting, but there had to be a hundred or so pints thrown. Fortunately, it was probably Budweiser.
