c+p from eatsleepsport.com QPR boss John Gregory expects to lose Ray Jones - with Fulham believed to be winning the chase for the striker ahead of Watford. Cottagers chief Chris Coleman has been tracking the 18-year old forward for some time and recently had a £50,000 bid turned down by Rangers. Jones, who scored the winner against Colchester yesterday, is out of contract at the end of the season and Gregory admitted that he doesn't expect him to stay beyond that. He said: "Am I resigned to losing him? Quite frankly, yes. "Ray is out of contract in the summer, and his agent refuses to give him the opportunity to sign a new deal with us. Ray has been ill-advised. "January could see certain clubs try to nick him. Ray would be much better off staying here and developing his career. "It should not be about money for players of Ray's age. You hear about players who are stars at his age, but never go any further. "If he stayed here a little longer, he could be in a position where he is ready to go into Arsenal's or Manchester United's first team at the age of 23." However, Jones says he would be happy to stay put and told the club's official website: "I want to stay here and I hope that will all be sorted in the next few weeks. "I'm playing first-team football for QPR and gaining experience all the time."
Same i heard today that he would rather be playing regular football with qpr than being on the bench for a prem side.
I never go to see Liverpool play, dont support them in anyway, were did you get that from genius? My DAD supports qpr, NOT me Genius and I've been to every home and away game this season
